Lice is elementary school was just part of life in every generation. Not all children had head lice, but when several students had it, then they were sent home and the other parents were contacted. It is not necessary to shave the hair off the head. There are very effective remedies and you can ask your pharmacist. It's true as the other poster said that a comb does come with any kit to rid a child of lice. Tea Tree Oil is good as the one poster said, but since lice gives everyone the willies and can infect other children or those in the household it's best to get at it right away. As the poster said clean combs, brushes, etc., well. In fact, throw the brush out! Combs are fine because they can be disinfected. Follow the other posters suggestions of cleaning all bedding (get rid of the pillow entirely) and wash all clothing your son has been wearing.

There are many prescriptions doctors have and also many lice shampoos, Go to a local doctor to see if its severe or not, if it is lice probably layed eggs in your hair and you will probably get a prescription. If not use lice shampoo. When its over wash everything you use on your head like hats, barretes, etc. Good luck!

there are many ways from using vegtable oil and soaking hair with and taking each strand of hair and getting rid of the egg deposits .. I found that if you wash your hair everyday and use a blow dryer and get your hair throughly dry and hot the lice cant stand heat and they will break off and not come back.wash all bedding, clothes and pillows with hot water.that way they dont have a chance but wash your hair everyday and make sure you use a blow dryer until your hair is hot from the dryer and they will leave..

get a shampoo specifically made for lice. get your whole family (or whoever your living with) checked because its possible they might have it too, and clean anything that may have had contact with your hair. ie. pillows, combs, hats, clothes, etc) - you wash everything like normal, you leave the combs with hot water and some bleach.
hope that helps. >_<
