In response to " I question my Christian bretheren a lot for their war-mongering ways" true, but have you not heard about what's going on in Sudan? Muslims have been enslaving Christians there for a long time. Sadly, I am not making it up. (I'm not even a Christian)

Firstly let me point out that peace rules over everything else in any given situation. I want people to speak logic instead of use violence, and that's what I have been taught all my life. I believe this, as is any war, is wrong - people will die, not just those fighting but civilians may die, and that is unfair. Civilians, or atleast most, did not ask for this. I can't see how they would.
Next, I believe in freedom of religion, - I think everyone should have to learn about all the major religions thoroughly, and should be able to choose which religion they want, as long as it doesn't harm others as they interpret it. Women and men should have equal rights - rules pushed upon people doesn't teach them anything, it makes them feel oppressed. Then again, there needs to be some type of ruling system, laws put into place, etc...otherwise it'll just be full of havoc. I want a system that resembles ... well, think of it this way. Take the most loose country, and take the most strict country, and put a dot in the middle. People should be in the middle and allowed to sway slightly to each side...freedom...isn't it beautiful?

Nope muslim community is not silent but you can't hear them in the noise of your media
yes we prefer to live in a place where there is religous freedom for us and for ther religions, we respect other religions and their belives. NO!! we don't impose restrictions on women, islam does't allow any oppresions to women( Culture is not religion, few culture oppress women and these all are not islamic) WE are allowed to seek education to as high level as we want, in my muslim country women are are working in every dept , now they are working in army as soldiers(they were already working as doctors engineer in army from ages), we like a society where everyone has their basic rights whether they are women or men, equal rights and full peace of mind....media is just corrupting the image of our religion..

Muslim community is not silence about Darfur, just you cant see the real face of Muslims in your media!
In Islam there is no compulsion in religion as Qur'an says so. Therefore i would choose the freedom of religions. Everyone can believe whatever he/she wants. And there is no oppression to women in Islam. Women have special rights in accordance with Sharia(Islamic law) and theyre full of freedom. A woman can work, get education as far as she wants. If you have any questions you can contact with me. I would be appreciate to correct the misconceptions or questions in your mind about Islam.
Peace and blessings.

It's a fascinating situation, isn't it? I mean from a moral/ethical standpoint. Here you have the evangelical community in the U.S. that didn't say squat when Christian Serbs were slaughtering Bosnia Muslims, but turn the tables for two seconds and that can't shut up about it.
As well the should be concerned, but geez, show a little evenhandedness!

who are these "real muslims"? Your series of quetions reflect a strong tone of intolerance towards Muslims! Remember they are also "brethren" if you actually believe in Christian ideals.

The problem lies in the Quran .unless they admit that, things will never improve. They will fulfill the prophesy that says "he who lives by the sword shall die by it"
