I drink a lot of wine. It makes me happy.

That said, two and a half suggestions for you:

1. Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon. Wow, that's great stuff, but it's not cheap.

2. Smoking Loon Pinot Noir. It's like $9 a bottle at fine wine vendors like SuperTarget, but it's delicious. It's become a favorite of mine.

2.5. Menage a Trois Red Table wine. Again, pretty cheap stuff. I don't love it, but it seems like people who aren't really big into reds like it. It's like a gateway red, if you know what I mean.

Best of luck, go get tipsy.

I love the yellow tail shiraz and also the little penguin shiraz. The austrailians sure understand the meaning of good red wine. Absolutely wonderful!

Consumer Reports rated Columbia Crest Grand Estates Columbia Valley 2002 $11, CR Best Buy Big in its sensory presence, and full-flavored.

This was the top rated wine AND at only $11 a bottle, quite a deal.

Described as: Should mix herbal notes with dark berries and cassis. May have notes of raspberry, black cherry, plum, and raisin and bell pepper, pepper, and mint. All tested were: medium-bodied with medium-length finish; moderate in complexity, balance, tartness, tannins, total aroma, and fruit qualities; slightly to moderately oaky-woody.

I don't like red wine. Because my mind is preparing for grape juice and it tastes nothing like grape juice. I'm from Oregon and I am told we have some kickass wines here. They use them on the set of Friends.
