Here are some of the symptoms that sound like swine flu - fevers - body aches - cough - runny nose - nausea and diarrhea. It’s also useful to know if you might have had an exposure - either by recent travel to Mexico, or to the areas of known cases so far in America - California, Texas, New York, Ohio and Kansas. Or you may have been exposed to a sick person who came from those areas. The incubation time for swine flu is believed to be pretty short - 48-72 hours, and the virus seems to spread easily between people. If this sounds like your symptoms, then what do you do? 2) Don’t panic - If you have a cold or flu, and the media is full of details about a potentially lethal pandemic, it’s hard to not imagine the worst. 3) Call or go? - If you have symptoms and possible risks that sound like swine flu, call your doctor or local public health clinic before going in Getting sick - stay home! ******* wash your hands!!!!!!!!!!

Don't rule out food poisoning. Did your mom eat the same things as you did? What turkey one of the foods? Or leftover stuffinfs or amy meat of any kind? Did you both even handle the same foods?
Food poisoning is overlooked at this time of year and unbeknownst to many, it is responsible for your symptoms even more than 'stomach flu' is.
Besides, there is no such thin g as 'stomach flu'. It's actually a form of gastroenteritis that causes those problems. Flu is a respiratory illness.

I had this a couple of weeks ago. Got up around 3 in the morning feeling I needed a toilet. When I sat there a sudden sickness got hold of me. I had such stomach aches that I thought I needed to call an ambulance. Then I had diarrhea for a few minutes, felt totally exhausted, went back to bed and slept through till the next morning. When I got up I felt okay. I asked my doctor and she said it was one of many shapes gastroenteritis can take. Sometimes it stays for a day, sometimes for two or three days and sometimes it happens this quickly, but violently.

it could be the stomach flu, but if it isnt',, it might be something that the two of you ate. if you are going to get sick from food poisoning, then it's usually 6-8 hours after you ate, and sometimes up to 12 hours later. it can last a few hours, to three days.
hope you guys feel better!!

You either have a stomach virus or food poisoning (if the symptoms developed within a few hours of eating). Drink clear liquids (7-Up, chicken broth) and hang in there until your system flushes itself out (1-3 days). Hope you feel better soon.

I had it about 2 weeks ago, started with these horrible pains in my stomach, thought it was maybe just gas or something, and then i started throwing up and having diarrhea. jsut make sure u drink lots of fluids. u might not think its a good idea but it will help it pass quicker. dont drink soda. maybe just 7up or sprite, and water, and gatorade is also good because it helps restore your electolites
it passed within about 24 hours

if you both have it this could be the cause of eating something that salmonella or other bacterial in the food. especially if turkey was left out to long after cooking or was not cooked long enough. if it isn't better by tomorrow you both should go to the emergency of your hospital since Dr.s offices Will be closed till Tuesday. Hope you feel better soon.Happy New Year ".
