Ok, I am 15 and live in TX, I went to driving school in july and passed it and got my drivers permit, and to now it has been six months. My parents are divorced, my school is far away, there are no buses to go to my school, and my dad has a car he can lend me. What I want to know is, what do I have to do to get a hardship license? (how much does it cost, what do i have to do, and how long does it take to get the hardship license)?

Contact the TX DPS. Here are a couple of links with some basic information and the application form. You didn't mention if you had completed drivers ed; that's a requirement.

you certainly have a delema. on the only hand, you like your license, on the different, you lost it for some unknown reason. certainly, you screwed up, basic and easy. you could ask to be sure the adjudication branch on the close by DMV, tell them of your situation, if it is for a DUI or comparable situation, you do not have a large gamble. If it is for a minor infraction which you ignored due on your job, then you definately are starting to be a shot. the probability is very slender which you would be able to get it replaced. Is there bus service? If there is, very own up on your boss and tell the certainty, it is plenty extra helpful than a lie and that i'm useful you would be regarded upon as someone of integrity for telling it like it relatively is. good success on your quest. If the school is "far away" and there are no buses, it sounds to me like you are living with one parent but continuing to go to school in another neighborhood. transfer to the nearer school and the problem will resolve itself, and you won't need a hardship license.

So the driving law in Texas allows people under 16 to get a license? I heard about the farm law here in CT but that's it. As far as I know it is a federal law that schools provide transportation for you to get to school. Talk to someone at your school about your problem, if they don't help talk to the board of education, many of them get paid 60k-100k per year and I they are know it alls. Remember that if you don't go to school then they could lose their jobs.
