You have to live in TX and prove that to get your TX license. Pay in CA, change when you get to TX. It happens that way sometimes.

Or, you can do what I did, take some vacation time, drive to your new state, buy a house, get your plates while you're there (since you now have proof of residency). Then when you move in 2 months you will already have them. Try not to get stopped in CA though, or they will tell you that you are a resident and need CA plates.

Bare with me here. I moved from the state of IN to Florida. So also depending on the state your moving too. Thats the key what they want. If you've paid your premium for the past or a future payment. You should be able to show proof of Insurance from that Company and provide it to the BMV; that your up to date. Show your registration from the state you just moved from. I'm thinking maybe you can do a transfer of plates or something? Also if you can stay with the same Insurance company; try and do that it may make life a little easier for you. Don't know if this is helpful or right. I know definitely check with the state your moving too though. The BMV are good for kicking out fees; so maybe contact the state your moving to and ask them what they require.

Sorry, but there's no way around that. Getting a post office box in TX isn't going to help, you need a physical address and proof of TX residence -- lease, closing statement on home purchase, utility bills, etc. -- to register your car in TX.

So it sounds like he could be out of artwork after the two.5 months? Or, will he be employed with this business employer at a decrease in pay? It additionally seems such as you the two ought to apply a sparkling commence. I say choose for it! it extremely is distinctive money for you adult men to commence sparkling in Texas. this is a sparkling section for you so there will be new opportunities after the two.5 months. If he has to locate different employment after the two.5 months, he can start to community and seem for an eternal place to commence after the two.5 months is up. As for coverage, you could seem into that now. The coverage he has at his cutting-edge place of employment has to grant COBRA coverage even nonetheless this is costly, so i could seem someplace else. Do it now before he quits so there's no lapse in coverage for any of you. good success!

we did that once with a car, but it was different counties in the same state,,, we opened a post office box where we were moving to, and registered the vehicle under that address..... you'll get new plates and new registration, and most places, you can do that by mail. the post office box will only cost you maybe twenty bucks, and you'll probably need one once you move anyway. good luck!!!
