Is it worth full to do SAP-ABAP?

For the past one and half year am working in designinig field which is totally out of sortware side is it worth full for me to do sap-abap now please suggest me.

You should have a look to Java which is also extensively used in SAP

No, it is not worth it. This is for those who are already in implementation and would like certain modification done. Exclusive knowledge of ABAP sometime may get you a placement, but once again exposure to industry practices are essential.
