I Had the same thing happen to me. I tried to highlight my hair and i looked like a skunk when it was pulled back.
I am living in India (from AMerica) so i couldn't go to a salon. All I did was get another box of brown coloring, which is the same as my original hair color. It turned out fine and back to its normal state. It will dry out a little, but it's either that or look silly. Bleaching it isn't a good idea, that will be even worse for your hair.
Wait until you can afford it, adn when your hair has a chance to recover from all the dyes , then go to your salon and get it done professionally if you still want hightlighted hair.

Okay, this same thing has happened with me. The first thing that you need to do is buy some olive oil and some plastic wrap. Take the olive oil and literally soak your head with it. When it is wet enough take the plastic wrap and put it all aroud your head. Make sure that its tight enough to keep the oil from running out. Leave it on from fifteen to fourty-five minutes. When the time is up wash it with a moisturizing shampoo. After the shampooing, condition your hair as you normally would and leave it in longer. When your done washing, DO NOT BLOW DRY IT. Take a towel and pinch your hair until it is try. Don't rub it because it causes your hair to split more. & I would send pictures of bobs, but I think after all of this, your hair will be fine. (: Cutting it would be my absolute last resort.

First relax...tomorrow..start wearing your hair up..after a few days..perhaps get some brown lowlights..go to a salon and ask them to do 6 brown low lights..in a week or two get a few more..by then you hair will have grown an inch and the brown low lights will help to blend it while you attemy to grow it out. DO NOT put a colour over all your hair..it will go green...brown low lights is the most gentle and conservative way to go..you are only trying to colour small strands of the blond hair..to browm ..a little at a time..OK

Permanent color is out of the question, try semi permanent color this won't hurt your hair at all, because it acts as a conditioner. Try something that will blend well and works for you until two weeks are past then you can dye over without breakage and hair loss.please wait at least two weeks before using any more dye/bleach, also use a conditioning hair treatment in between.

well first off your going to have to fill (which means darken to hair 1-2 levels lighter then your result) then you are going to have to to tone or put color over that fill. your best bet is to go to a salon if you want it fixed correctly. if you do decide to go back to walmart and by a box color again and put it over that blonde it might turn green. or the blonde may start coming through again after a period of weeks. its going to have to be a double process. you need to use professional color also bc if you keep using box it is going to fry your hair. be careful!! leave it till you get money to fix it. its not worth trying it yourself and makeing a bigger problem! good luck! also if you want highlights done go to a salon. they are very hard to do on yourself.

I'm guessing it's a permanent hair color, in which case, you're up a creak w/o a paddle. Sorry! The best you can do is wash you hair like crazy with a dandruff or clarifying shampoo for the next 48 hours. These types of shampoos tend to strip color from your hair. You generally have a 48 hour grace period to fix things, but since you have no cash to get to a salon... again, sorry. I don't know the rule of thumb about how long you should wait to dye your hair again, but maybe try to dye it back to it's original color or a shade darker in a couple weeks. Until then, wear a ponytail and hat.... good luck!

I would wait about a week before trying to match it to the color it was before. You risk less damage to your hair that way, and that's the last thing you want to happen when you're growing it out. Try to match it to your natural color then, or to the color of your highlights. Take care in betwen while you're growing out to snip off split or stretched ends and oil your hair once in awhile. It makes a WOLRD of difference. Thin, straggly long hair is not as pretty as shorter, shiny, taken care of hair.

i suggest wearing it in a cute updo or ponytail for the next 3 weeks. condition heavily. dont wash your hair just pre rinse it then use conditioner and a leave in conditioner after that. do this every 3 days to 5. depending on your hair type. dont heat style or anything. 24 hours before redying it wash your hair again with shampoo but put no chemicals or conditioners in it. at this point it should be proteced and healthy enough to survive another dye job without complete breakage or dryness. Redye hair one dark color and try highlighting it again when you have more money!
