First figure out what type of hair you have. If it's really kinky, you may need a relaxer. If it's not, apply some type of protectant or moisturizer to your hair while its still damp. Then, blowdry until it's about 90% dry. I think the best iron is Remington Wet/Dry straightner, it steams out the moisture. Hair DOES burn, so you have to be very careful and follow the suggested heat settings. Thicker, coarser hair can be set on 30 when it's wet. I wouldn't recommend having your hair dripping wet when straightening. The hair closest to your scalp will be missed, so that's why blowdrying a bit is your best bet. You can use a serum too, that will prevent frizz. I like oiling my hair to keep it protected, jojoba is the best because its very similar to the kind of oil your scalp produces. It's there to protect your hair, and the ends are what need it the most, since they're the oldest.

well i use to get it ironed but that dries out your hair.. if you want a perment for 3-4 mts that i got is a relaxer that you get done at the salon..it works really good and i love my hair now because of it

MY SIS USED TO HAVE HER HAIR DOWN TO HER *** AND EVERY WEEK SHE IRONED IT THAT'S BEFORE ALL THE GADGETS IT DID NOT HURT IT AT ALL. TRY IT MOPM HELPED HER DO IT.
