i just served two caper martini's and they wen'rt too bad. is it a common thing or a never do thing?? i think my friend was impressed that it was a trendy new thing. it just got me throught a no olive fix, however very very good. olives and capers will now alwayes be on hand.

haha... sharing drinks with your friends is about fun and having a moment together, not rules! Capers are fine baby, you're not the only one who has broken new Matini ground.

People have smashed the olive
some people have the auacity to use a black olive (buckeye)
some people use a pickeled pearl onion
some people use jalapenos
there's a drink called a manhattan... it's a whiskey martini, there's a maraschino cherry in it.

Capers... not the strangest thing and I think it's totally acceptable, if there's no olives on hand, haha... if someone gives you trouble for it, they're too uptight, don't invite them anymore :-p

i take my martini as it is dont want food in it.
