My chi will go outside to pee. He still has a pad in the house in case he has to go when I'm not home but he REFUSES to go poop where he goes outside to pee. He will either poop in the house (not on the pad) or I will have to walk him to get him to poop. If he poops in the same place more than three times he will not go anywhere near that area again. I really need to get him to poop when he goes out to pee.

When I say the same place I mean the same place on the walk. I pick up his messes but it's like he knows he has been there and doesn't need to go there again.

Anyways if you keep him in there long enough, he might learn thats were he goes pee!!Also, to make it easierm go and get one of those clip thingys that you
click and then the dogs no that they have done the right thing. I am 9 so i dont no much but im glad to al least help anyways. My acout says im 17 though. GOOD LUCK!!!

We have noticed that our dogs will use different areas for these two bodily functions. In the house, try using two pads separated some distance from each other and see if this helps. Walking does help and is good exercise as well. Is it really necessary for him to use the exact same area over and over again?

well if you had 3 piles feces sitting around in the toilet would you want to go there agian? Either shovel out the poo or find him a new place. Also, dogs need to be walked to help get their bowels moving (same thing with people. thats why a lot of people have to crap after exercise). You need to reward him too when he does poo with a treat. Keep them with you and as soon as he is done give hima treat with a good boy!

They are usually picky dogs. My sister's chihuahua does the same thing. Just make sure the area is really clean and comfortable.

What about building a small electric fence to contain the dog and if he leaves that area he will get a shock..Make sure to ground it well...maybe the darn dog might pee on the fence and fry his genitals to the fence..
