Because it is a drug MDMA. It was developed by a pharmaceutical company in the 1900's for psychological purposes. Apparently it had some medicinal uses in psychological research- it also has street value- sexual intensity, etc.

They do not give it to women to take advatage of them... your confused with date rape drugs like ruffies. Ecstasy doesnt do that.
They take them becuase it makes them feel better than anyhting naturally could in real life
