Maturity is a good indication when a girl becomes a woman.Making the right decisions about sex would be a good sign of maturity too.

I'm a man. So, I will answer this from that perspective. When does someone become an adult? A catholic nun is a woman, but, more than likely is a virgin. Becoming an adult male or woman has nothing to do with losing your virginity. Becoming an adult has to do with becoming responsible for your actions and decisions. Learning how to live in this complicated society. Legally, you become responsible as an adult at 18 years old whether or not you have matured into adulthood.

Getting a period indicates that a female is capable of getting pregnant during sexual contact. The purpose of the menstration is to rid the body of the unused egg in the female reproductive system. That doesn't establish adulthood.

Don't let any boy rush you into sex under the guise of turning you into a woman. Be careful. Alot of boys will say and do anything to have sex. Sex isn't evil or bad. It just comes with alot of responsability. Sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, a bad reputation just to name a few things. Sex with your lifes partner is wonderful and very rewarding. Most teenagers are not ready for the consecuenses that may result from sex.

God bless

I feel that sex(loosing your virginity) and a menstrual cycle is a process that makes a female a women along with other factors. For the most part eighteen is the age in which a female is legally a legal adult which is a contributor to the process of becoming a woman. I feel becoming a women is a cycle. This cycle involves certain steps that make you a women. Getting your period is your first step, and loosing your virginity is the second(having sexual intercourse). These two things are physical aspects that metamorphosed into a women. To me going through things , learning from experiences, establishing yourself, becoming responsible, doing for yourself makes you a real woman. I feel this way because it takes more then physical aspects that makes you a woman. Mentally I feel a woman with a stable mind is what makes a woman a woman. Growing and learning defiantly makes you a woman because like I said these are things you learn and go through that makes you smarter, allowing you to stand on your own feet, and along with the other factors. Just my opinion

The day a girl turns into a woman is the day she stops actling like a child, expecting every guy she has a crush on her to "love" her back. When she takes responsiblity for her actions and is willing to face and deal with ALL of the consequences of those actions. When she stops looking to get revenge for everytime someone has done something wrong in her life. When she doesn't continuesly whine about how mean her parents are because they won't let her have her own way about everything. She becomes a woman when she has enough self respect to stand up to a man who wants her to do something she does not feel comfortable doing and tells him NO. She becomes a woman when she ceases to be a doormat for a "boyfriend" who is only out to use her then loose her. She becomes a woman when in the event that "man" in her life slaps her once it is the LAST time he does it as she has packed and is out of there without looking back. She becomes a woman when she doesn't have to rely on anyone but herself to take care of herself AND her family. She becomes a women when she realizes that she doesn't have to "settle" simply because she doesn't WANT to be alone or because she is deseprate to keep up with her peers.

Losing your virginity has nothing to do with being a woman. You become a woman by having many life experiences. Your Boyfriend is a guy and doesn't know a whole lot about women at all.

It's neither.

Girls can get their period very young, as young as 6 or 7 in some rare cases. Girls can also lose their virginity at a young age, for instance if they were raped.

A girl becomes a woman when she can face the challenges of adulthood. When she becomes responsible for herself and independent.

Becoming a "woman" is more about maturity then it is about sex. I lost my virginity at a young age but I wouldn't have considered myself a woman until I was in 19/20.

a 13 year old girl can get a period and as bad as it is she can have sex if she wants to. but i believe you don't truly turn into a women until you have a bit of maturity and life experience under your belt. but then again i have known some very mentally mature teens. i guess it just depends on the person.

no, nothing changes. Your attitude determines whether you're a girl or woman. But most women are a combination of both, just like most guys are both a little bit of a boy and a man.

Not true. A girl turns into a women when she has gotten out of her teenage years only. Not after loosing her viginity.
