What makes 'that' certain word a curse word? Why isn't it like any other word? Makes me wonder.

The question isn't "Who thought up swear words?" It's "who thought up being offended by words that simply describe bodily functions?"
P.S. Nobody's answered "because people lack the vocabulary to speak proper English" yet. To preempt them, that argument's bunk. If anything, it goes to show how creative and flexible people are nowadays with vocabulary, and how advanced modern kids are at interpreting subtle nuances and still comprehending the intended meaning,
"F.U.C.K." as an acronym is not the correct etymology of the word. Nobody's exactly sure where it came from, but that theory doesn't hold up to peer review.
