There are many upper respiratory viruses and bacteria that can cause sneezing in dogs. These dangers are in much higher concentrations at boarding kennels. Therefore, it is possible that your dog caught the cold from her friend. The good news is that these upper respiratory infections are usually self-limiting in otherwise healthy adult dogs. In other words, the symptoms should be mild and pass quickly.
There are, however, many things that may cause sneezing in dogs. Among them would be foreign bodies and allergies. If your dog's signs get worse (lethargy, not eating) or you see mucus or yellow-green discharge, contact your veterinarian.
A more common malady after a trip to the kennel is kennel cough. Kennel cough also results from any of a multitude of viruses and bacteria. Dogs exhibit various coughing symptoms, from a mild hack to a very strong cough (which may sound like choking). If you suspect kennel cough in your dog, make sure to visit the veterinarian for treatment.

He/She probably has kennel cough, which can progressively get worse if it's an old, young, or small dog. I would take her to a vet asap to get meds. You can never be too careful.
Dogs who are near other dogs are often vaccinated when you get them against kennel cough, but it has to be done annually. Usually if you leave a dog in a kennel (the kind that you pay for housing), the kennels rules are to have it vaccinated.
Next time you do put your dog up for a while I'd suggest putting it in one with stricter rules. Don't worry it's not your fault though :) Good luck!

Just like groups of humans can pass a cold around, groups of dogs can also.
There are lots of doggie "colds" that can be easily passed around. Most boarding kennels require a vaccination against Kennel Cough, or Bordatella, but...
The vaccination is only good for some of the Bordatella pathogens out there. There are more that are not effected by the vaccine. It is sort of like our human flu.
So, just like you get more colds when hanging around other humans, dogs can catch more "colds" when hanging around other dogs.
However, I believe it is worth it to let dogs hang with other dogs.

Oh dear! Has your Dog had a Bordella Shot? This helps to prevent Kennel Cough.
I would suggest you take him to a Vet and have a health check done on him to be sure he doesn't have some nasty disease blossoming.
