How do I hang a cowhide on the wall?

I have a large wall and my decor is western ranch, but I do not know how to hang the great cowhide i bought.

since your decor is western i would install by using rawhide strips put through holes burned through the edge's of your hide to stretch the hide over the wall. burning your holes will keep the hide from tearing. i recommend a hot awl to make holes and folding the edge under to double up on stress points. look for pictures on the net to locate placement of holes. start at top middle and work your way evenly out to each side pulling taunt as you go. use what ever you wish to serve as anchor for the rawhide strips to tie too. i would suggest mounting to a board like oriented strand board so that you can fasten entire piece to studs.you might consider free-forming the plywood and singing edges for effect along with your own brand into wood for personalization. you may even consider a metal hoop frame to stretch the hide and then hang. hope this gives you some idea's.

.....cowhide for wall hangings. one could make a mounting bracket that the hide would attach to, it is much easier simply to nail or staple your Cowhide to the wall using small nails or large staples.
