its everything. and that thing that make it that way is everything put into the song, and other emotions you are feeling. for example if you and your boyfriend have "a song" and it comes on it makes you think of him and you get happy. but if you two break up and you haer that song it will bring back memories and most likely make you sad.

i think that it is when you here the right love song you plug in your life or you just dream or fantasize you in those songs so i do not think that it is not necessarily any of the things that were suggested in the question depending on the person.
