Oh Oh! he is Mourning the Loss of his friend. You need to hand feed what ever you can get him to eat, except anything with onions.

he needs to know you are still there for him, maybe a another Puppy will help, but remember he is Mourning the Loss. You need to give him a one on one for a couple of weeks before introducing another Puppy to him.

I am so sorry you lost one of your Fur Kids.

That's sad. If you're all ready thinking about getting him a new little buddy then you should definitely get a new one. It is your dog and you know him better than me.
A great idea would be to take your depressed dog along when you go out looking for your new puppy. You can see if your dog likes the puppy before you actually buy him/her. Plus taking your dog to new places might get the other dog's death off his mind (and possibly yours).
Don't expect to get a puppy that will replace the deceased one. All dogs are different and act differently. What can you expect, their individuals not clones. Good luck on making your dog happy.

One of our two dogs died recently as well and I feared this would happen to the remaining dog. Thankfully it hasn't (even though she was really attached to her brother!). I'm a firm believer that dogs need other canine companionship, just as humans need the companionship of other humans. So we will be getting another pup in the next few months - we're looking. Best of luck to you and your pup!

Mabey sound's like he's really lonley, I read a book and this happened, ask the vet about it and if you do get a new dog make sure you dog likes the new dog.

Talk to a veteranarian about the best approach. It does sound like your dog is lonely.
