i'm going along with everyone else to get my two points. how in the world could u catch a fish on a line if its frozen? Is it's mouth wide open and it happens to float onto your line? think before u ask questions because it's a waste of 5 points. but if your want you can get three points back by picking me. seriously

if the water is not frozen then its 33 degrees or more, the ice you drill through is colder and the air could be colder than that, but the fish isnt frozen or it would be in ice not in water, wake up and think about these things before you ask.

They are not frozen when you catch them. In fact, you want to keep them from freezing if you plan to eat them. Once they freeze, you have to thaw them to fillet and gut them. Some anglers keep caught fish in a bucket of water to keep them from freezing. They replace the water when it starts to get ice crystals. Others put them in coolers.

It can't freeze in the water.

If the water froze & the fish was trapped in the ice it would freeze.
