Yes, in Christ. We have an immortal soul that does not cease to exist once the body dies. The body is no more, the soul lives on.
Where it resides, depends on whether the person has received the gift of salvation and lived according to God's law (as best they could).

The soul will immediately live on after death and go to it's eternal reward or punishment. It makes no difference if one believes or not, the soul continues after death. But where it goes makes all the difference.

At the end of the world, everybody will be reunited to their bodies again, as the last trumpet sounds, the dead will rise from their graves. The soul will return to the body. Either the soul will be returning to a glorified body in Christ, or a body awaiting damnation. The meeting of body and soul will either be unspeakable joy, or unspeakable horror and anguish.

And both will return to their eternal reward or punishment, either Heaven or Hell.

All dead bodies now, no matter what state they are in, even the ashes, are no matter for God. He made man out of the dust of the earth. All bodies will come back to life when he calls them, but for the damned, it will be like a living death. For the saved, neverending life and joy.

It is possible for every person to go to Heaven, and Hell is the ultimate waste as nobody need ever go there. Christ has given us the way. HE has risen from the dead and given us hope of the resurrection.

We are free to choose.

YES! There is a new birth after death. Who's death? ours...The wages of sin is death. Christ said, in order to see the Kingdom of God, you must be born again, or "born from above".
Go back to Genesis where God said that the day that Adam ate the forbidden fruit, he would "surely die". Yet Adam lived close to 1000 years. Does that make God a liar? No....the death God was speaking of was spiritual death or spiritual separation from God. God cannot look on sin so once Adam and Eve took on the sin nature we "died to God" or the Spirit of God left us and related to us in a way different than before. What did this? sin. So sin caused death.
God wanted to relate to us as He did before but considering we had endwelling sin, He could not.
That's where Jesus comes in. Mankind was on trial... the verdict was guilty and the punishment death. Sin was punished. Not just one sin but all and not just all at the time but all throughout time, so that God could redeem all throughout time. So the sin issue was no longer an issue. Jesus stood in our place and died. Therefore there was no punishment for sin for those who take up that truth in their hearts. But salvation isn't just forgiveness, but life...
Romans 5:10
...much more being reconcilled by His death, are we SAVED by His LIFE.
Christ prepared the way for true life to be restored to those who believed in Him and what He did. So now when a believer places their faith in Him (Christ) , the Spirit of God can be returned into that person, similar to what it was like before the fall of Adam and Eve. We still have a sin nature and sin, but those sins are forgiven and now sin is dealt with, not with an outward "law" but an inward conviction. That is one of the jobs of the Holy Spirit. Because when you place your faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit comes into you and takes up residence. You can tune into Him or tune into your own self will. It's your choice. When the Spirit enters you upon conversion, you are said to be born again. "Again" meaning you were born physically once and your born "again" spiritually. I hope I explained that well enough. God bless you.

No there is not, the bible says the dead are concious of nothing, thoughts do perish. That is why there is hope for a resurrection.

Although God stated in the bible he has bought some out of the earth, and those few will be in heaven.

New spiritual birth does not begin after physical death. By then it's too late. New birth begins at the point one recognizes the truth about God.

Well, I do believe in reincarnation...Actually Judaism accepts the concept of reincarnation. Of course, NO ONE can even really know what happens because "dead men tell no tales" so we will never really knows what happens.
Some people think that reincarnation happens right after death...but to others it might take years, even decades. Who know. :)

Jesus said "Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot enter the Kingdom of God." He further explained "Truly, truly I say to you , unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God". That which is born of the flesh is flesh, that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you that you MUST BE BORN AGAIN." (John 3:3-6)

There is a radical spiritual transformation - a complete change of nature that takes place in the human heart, when we come before God, acknowledge our spiritual poverty and admit before God that we are not, have never been and cannot be what we ought to be. We need to agree with God's verdict, and God's verdict is all the world is guilty before him and deserving His wrath. But God has devised a way whereby a person can be made right with God by accepting the work of God that He accomplished in the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on behalf of sinful man, and took the full punishment due to man upon Himself when He died on the cross. This He was able to do because He was the eternal Son of God, appearing in human form to save the world. God vindicated Him by raising Him from the dead. Jesus said "Truly truly I say to you, he who hears My word and believes Him (God the Father) who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life" (John 5:24)
If you go before God in prayer - not formal prayer but just speaking to Him from the heart, acknowledge your sins and seek to turn away from them, then ask God to forgive you and save you through His Son Jesus, He will give you His Holy Spirit, and change your heart, and make you right in His eyes, and save you. "For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift from God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9)
Do not wait. Your soul is too precious. There are many unseen adversaries, but God is for you. Call on Him today.
