it makes me so angry when i hear answers like "we are the best country because we fight comunism" and "we have democracy"

im sick of you guys praising your country for going to war and killing people

a particular answer got me to right this it said "
Let the world take notice. USA is the only Superpower left, and can do anything to any nation or their leader. The only difference is WE USE OUR POWER FOR GOOD. We only take out genocidal dictators that are a threat to world peace. We took out Nazi German, Fascist Italy, Imperial Japan in WWII, the EVIL worldwide Communist Empire....so Iran and N. Korea watch out---- you are next!!

We could easily use our power to take over other nations and their wealth but we do not. That proves the USA is the GOOD in the age old battle of GOOD vs. BAD. The proof is in the pudding or the USA.....every race and nationality want to immigrate to the USA."

does he have any idea how many inocent people were killed in those wars due to war

History is written by winners.
So everyone is GOOD and does GOOD.
Its just that others dont like it and it becomes BAD.

Its a matter of who wins which defines what is good. Iran thinks US is evil US thinks Iran is evil and I really dont see if any one of them coming to a conclusion that who is evil.

"We could easily use our power to take over other nations and their wealth but we do not????" What's IRAQ war about.

I think you should stop hating USA. It is wrong to hate any country because you obviously don't know how poeple in the country feel. Many Americans DO NOT support the Iraq war. Americans do have more freedom then most countries and the idea of spreading freedom is not bad considering there are alot of countries whos citizens need freedom.

When American people say "America is the best country in the world", just ask them what other nations they've visited to confirm America is the best.

You won't get an answer, because over 80% of American's don't own a passport. So they have no idea whether they're the best or worst.

It's easy to say you're the best when you have the experience of one nation. Europe could be paved in gold for all they know.

So we should hate our country? Virtually every nation has been involved in some war at some point. War is, unfortunately, a part of life. There's nothing wrong with being proud of being an American and yes, that can go too far but, I'm certainly not going condemn a country that I love to live in because we have (and are) been involved in wars. You can be sick of hearing this all you want. You have that right because brave soliders who don't just sit back and bit*h, fight for that lovely right you have an obviously exercise alot. Innocent people are killed everyday. Instead of sitting on Yahoo Answers and griping, why not volunteer at a victims right center. I guess that would be too much like doing something constructive though. Silly me.

Oh hun, do some reading! The Vietnam war was not a war at all. It was a CONFLICT. Only Congress can declare war and it wasn't ever declared. If you'd never move here, I must admit, I'll be inconsolable but I'll somehow find the strength to move on.

Hey, I support the war, and what Bush is doing.

I'm really enjoying the comments from people who call Bush a retard, and the people who voted for him as "stupid" and "ignorant".

So all you fartknockers can blame ME.

Looking at Canada's subsidized heath care, why not do a little homework and see what is covered and what is not. And what it costs the citizen. AND how much of their paycheck they actually see. Hey, what kind of illnesses can you get that the government won't fix?

Okay Bob. Let's hit the issue.

I support the war in Iraq. It keeps the fighting, the enemy and the battles over THERE. Since we share a continent, I suggest you see the wisdom of taking the shooting, roadside bombs, EIDs and killing of people OUTSIDE of North America.

Yes, we have an advantage - we can privately own guns. Since the average Canadian fella can't, I would think that your country will be much easier to overtake during an invasion than ours.

Hey, I'm sick of fighting wars too. But you know what? If you fund shiat like what happened on 9-11, then you better expect your kiss your behind goodbye. I don't exactly think "turning the other cheek" is a good domestic strategy, do you?

Hey Bob! Here's what you do. Invite all your Islamo-fascist friends to your country, and when they begin to wreck your country (like they are in France now, and many parts of Europe), well, you just figure out how to solve the problem of people who will NOT assimmilate with your maple-producing country and would rather you live under Sharia Law. It's happening in Israel, France, Europe and even parts of the USA.

So if you can't see what's happening, then I'm not going to sit here and educate you. And I have no ill will towards my Canadian friends to the north. But if you REALLY think that we should all turn our heads and ignore genocide, ignore an intolerant religion, and not recognize that "convert or kill" tactics used by people who will actually kill you, then anything I say is going to fall on deaf ears.

Innocent people are dying. No argument there. But let's play it this way:

If someone attacked Canada, would you rather fight the war where more Canadian citizens would be killed? Or would you put your troops on a plane and send the fighting over there?

Our political leaders care very much about innocent lives, even the lives of those we are at war with on enemy soil - which is more than we could say for THEIR country's leaders.

It's so easy to paint Americans, or any Capitalist country as heartless and greedy. It takes a little effort to see through the stereotype.

But on that note, I do wish we'd stop going to war. That's MY tax money. It usually goes to helping 3rd world countries.

When is the last time you made a donation to the AIDS Epidemic in Africa, Bob?

son, I am native american so let`s see if I can answer your question. America has some ppl here that are going to hate people that are different no matter what is said or done. there are ppl like that all over the world also, not just here, but for you to judge the whole country just on the ramblings of a few ppl shows that you aren`t too understanding yourself.

34 presidents of the USA are genetically related to Charles the Great and Charlemagne ,the illuminati blood line,
they are in control and always have been ,the elections and the political games are for the publics sake, who are unaware and brainwashed away from the truth and
they are not in charge ,the Bilderberg group and the Round table are,and their motives are imperialistic and not honourable,to impose world order under one elite regime.at any cost ,no matter who gets hurt or how many
this is whats wrong

Every country has some morons in it. Canada has free health care, why can't the USA do that? There's a lot of stuff wrong with America, I'm just glad that I have the freedom to say that.

How innocent are you when you march in the Hitler Youth in Nazi Germany? Are the Japanese innocent because of their 'die for the emporor beliefs'? Were we not greated as liberators in Italy? Did we ever attack the communist empire? NO, and as such in those conflict there were no 'innocents' and thus, it is not America that is wrong, but YOU.
