You have asked many questions here. What do you have to do to be a "good" christian? Believe in God with all your heart, and follow His Son, that's it. So you watch porn...Is that a sin? What do you think? The fact that you are aware that is wrong shows that God is alive in your heart and mind. Being a so called "NEW" christian is tough, you genarally have more questions most of the time than you have answers. I don't know what church you have been attending, they are all different. Some churches make up their own rules for being a "good christian", these churches are false. Listen to your heart and conscience, God is there, and will lead you down the right path if you allow him, and keep an open mind. Read the Bible, it is difficult I know but it is an eye opener, to all that the Christian faith is and IS NOT...... If you have trouble reading a traditional version try the NIV, it is written in modern language, and is easier to follow and digest. Do what you're doing ask questions, and keep asking them until you have found satisfactory answers to all your questions. The Christian faith is very rewarding. I wish you luck in your quest for a relationship with Jesus Christ. You are on your way, to being a better informed Christian...Good Luck and God Bless...

It's important to know that there are no rules to be a christian. Once you accept Jesus his spirit lives in you. God will speak to you and convict you of areas of your life that he wants you to change. Pray and consult God with everything in your life. He will speak to you and guide you down the right path. Most importantly worship Him.. The most amazing experience is when I'm praising God and his presence comes over me so strongly. It's so amazing and powerful. It's the most intense feeling of love and peace. Make sure you find a church that's really moving in the things of the spirit. There are many churches out there that are very spiritually dead. If you don't leave feeling like your spirit was fed, perhaps it's not the right place for you. Pray and ask God to lead you where he wants you. Read your bible also. I would recommend the new testiment to start. Try not to get discouraged if it doesn't all make sence at first. Just read. God will reveal what he wants you to see as you go. The more you read, the more he reveals to you. God Bless

Definately not the first answer,

to answer your first question:
This is about Christ. Christ is what it is about.

If you cannot get past the cross. If you cannot accept with your whole heart that Jesus Christ is sovereign (a word meaning ruler of your life and everything and everyone) and savior (He washs all your sin (which is not all wrong) away and makes you a new pristine Creation with a promise of what to come by giving you the Holy Spirit), then the rest of this is useless.

36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."

Love Jesus Christ, pursue Him, find Him, never let go, read His Word (Bible), when He speaks you listen, be constantly thinking of Him, pray genuinely, know you are poor in spirit (meaning that you are sinful and need God/Jesus Christ tremendously), trust the Lord your God, be ready to make a defense when asked hard questions about Him, live in Him, learn of Him, love Him, and whatever you do, do not give up your search for Him or your efforts. You will fail and fall dozens upon dozens upon dozens of times. (everyone has) Do not lose heart, God cannot be mocked. Your Lord WILL always be with you. He knows all about you, He even knows the number of hairs on your head.

Do those.
I reccomend joining a youth group (the students, meaning at least 1, as well as the teachers) that actually cares for Christ. When you fail and fall, they can help bring you back. My youth group has.

That's good that you know God is and is watching you and thinking about you. Always keep that.

One fact I reccomend keeping in mind, it has helped me many times:
Your feelings, thoughts, expieriences, beliefs, knowledge, and actions don't matter. What God says IS.

Peace. I have and will pray for you.

Note: If you take the advice of reading the New Testament first, read the first 3 chapter of Genesis before that. They explain origin, our condition, and our need for God. Necessary for understaning the Bible and why Jesus Christ came.

First of all to be a Christian, you have to admit that you are a sinner and accept Christ as the only salvation- through His shed blood. Only after you make this commitment to Him as your Savior and turn from your sin- "repent" can you live a life that is pleasing to Him. We cannot live the life He desires without this commitment. Maybe you did this, but when you said the rules about being a Christian, and going to church does not make you a Christian. Your parents do not have to be religious for you to become a Child of God. Being baptized is not a "rule" for salvation, It is to be done after you come to Christ as an outward example of an inward change. You can find God when you pray for Him like I stated at the beginning, and then you will grow in your faith. I will pray for you.

Old habits die hard, usually with the person. The idea is to not pick up new ones and to eventually discover why you should drop old ones if you can.

Read the Bible. Read about Jesus from the time he started to the Crusifiction.

Then read the 10 commandments.

Apply what Jesus said and those together to develop a way of life.

Read Revelations, even though it's hard.

Then read Gensis through the original sin.

Then read Jesus again.

Jesus tells you what to do and how to live.

Being a Christian is not easy. IT's hard work for no rewards. The rewards are in doing. And you have to do alot. You have to do more than anyone else.

Well God has a title called the Happy God. All his laws in the bible are for your benefit. They keep you clean, as in not getting S.T.D.'s and such, They also protect you from getting fraud-ed, they help married persons improve their love for one another. All this stuff is meant for you and everyone else to live life to the fullest capacity. The choice is yours, but since the bible has never been proved wrong, that is something you really need to think about. When your "church" hopefully goes over what God requires of you, at that time you can make an intelligent decision on what life-style you want.

Many people have the misconceptions about God. God forgives, and we who sin, which is all of his children should repent to him. He wants us to be happy in this life, and not fear so much that we aren't doing his will. There are things to easily avoid, which you'll learn. Reading your bible does help. Know God for yourself. That's what I've done for the past years, and it feels good. It feels good to not get advise and criticism from those Christians who are way to critical and don't understand that you just can't avoid and turn your back on society, because some people represent what you are against. Even though I"m Christian, I accept everyone for who they are. God loves all his children, and many Christians send off this bad dominating vibe to people which turns them off from the lord. I don't ever want to do that to people. I hope you find a good fellowship my friend. In the end, God is your judge, not the world, or other Christians who at times try to play as they are God in the flesh. He loves you, whatever sin you do, repent, he is awesome. Be serious with it too.

Yes watching porn is a sin according to the bible
but it is apart of life in boys growing up. Yes it is good to think of what God will think of your actions, but don't beat yourself up over it. Just make the right choices in life that you know is the right thing to do. Go see God at church, it doesn't have to be only on sundays, You can see him in church whenever. Pray at night for your loved ones. Just be a good person, God will appreciate that. Help your parents. Be a good child, And God will reward you :)

If you accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, you are cleansed of all of your sins. Not just the ones you've committed, but the ones you will commit in the future. Just never fall away from Him. Don't let other people who don't know Christ yet discourage you. A Christian life is hard, you'll get persecuted and be hated. I can almost guarentee some answers you get will be for the sole purpose of persecuting you. Be strong. Everyone makes mistakes, and sins at times. It's in our nature. Now you may ask, if we're forgiven of our sins and guarenteed a place in heaven, why can't we sin? Well, you can. It's a freedom of choice. But Jesus Christ died for your sins. Continuing to sin and living in it would be insulting to our Lord. Be the best that you can be. Christ as your example.
