this is regarding child support, for those who have actually filed, have you had any problems with financial support being collected from the father?? what are the ups and downs...just curious. thanks

thanks girls...another question, will i be able to get back pay for years of non financial support? or will they give me a hard time for just filing? my children are 8 and 5 years old.

Yes many. Check the statistics and you're be alarmed. It can be a long road and an uphill task to collecting the monies if the other party refuses to pay up.

Not so far. Illinois is really good on getting "Dead Beat Dads" to pay the money owed to the custodial parent. Any lawyer can help you or if you really wanna get someone go to the public aid office. They will wanna get the dad so they won't have to pay you. Even Social services can help.
