I know a man who has a worldwide ministry who isn't known by the general public but is well known among his peers. This man has started many schools and churches, prison ministries etc. His mission is to train others in their own countries to spread the good news of the gospel. He is very humble, yet has a very big and strong ministry, and works very hard for the Lord. I walked into his office a number of times and felt the presence of God just engulf me like a warm blanket of peace. This man seems to me to be like the Apostles. He has a godly quality about him in his words and speech and lifestyle that I have not seen in anyone else. This man is 100% committed to the Lord, unlike anyone I have ever met in any church or ministry. There is another man who is a lot younger in his walk with the Lord but shows signs of the same qualities, which I would describe as Christ-like. I often wonder how they became so confident in the Lord whereas I feel like I,m always struggling. But both these men are people who like the apostles are on a mission and are driven, totally committed, and they are making an impact on thousands and thousands of lives.

Not an easy feat to do.
Who here gives up their home, goes out into the world with a sword, coat, cloak, shoes and nothing in their pockets and just keeps going like the Energizer bunny. Door to door, spreading the way of truth and God and Jesus.
I'm not talking Jehovah's witnesses in their suits, who go home at the end of the day. There IS NO HOME.
Your home is the ROAD and the PLACE where you minister at a given point in time before GOING ON again.
That's not an easy feat to do for anyone.
Too many cling to home, possessions, comforts.
No one here is ready to go off into the desert for 30 days with nothing at all to purge the demons and devils from your soul.

a million. Are you optimistic all Christians "justify no longer being in contact"? 2. human beings interpret those verses in a diverse way of path. word: The 11 disciples pass to Galilee to the mountain..."Jesus spoke to them, asserting . . . pass as a result . . ." Now this is interpreted as a project for the disciples he's chatting with, or to the Church of Christ (it extremely is, the disciples being representatives of the Church), and to all believers. 3. Now, of path, you're asserting "all believers." Do all make disciples? Do all baptize? (Paul noted to the Corinthians that he baptized none of them, different than one. replaced into he negligent?.) Do all instruct? (James says, "enable no longer a lot of you adjust into instructors, my brethren." James 3:a million) 4. I say it incredibly is lots greater in all possibility that Christ replaced into addressing the 11 as representatives of the Church of then and in succeeding generations. And that each and every individual Christian isn't required do the disciple making any further than each and every is commanded to baptize or to instruct. this is a team attempt, and not a legalistic factor. once you pass to church, does everybody take the offering? "...instruct THEM to video reveal all..." word the "them" no longer: "instruct each and every of them to be disciple-makers, to be instructors, to be baptiziers.." the large fee is a team attempt, a Church attempt; there are a number of applications in the Church. by the type, have you ever considered Christ's command, "Be ye as a result appropriate as your heavenly Father in heaven is ideal"? How're you doing on that one? 5. evaluate additionally your heavily, oppressive and manipulative tone. Your harshness exceeds any by employing Paul or James or Peter, for optimistic. you're in all possibility scaring greater faraway from Christianity than any you're able to disciple. Take yet another seem at your avatar. You seem a splash rabid.

I thank you for your kindly worded question; polite questions/answers aren't too common here on Y/A.
Yeah, I think I know one or two TRUE disciples. I fervently hope that one or two people consider me a true disciple too. Of course, what people think doesn't matter, only what God thinks.
Have a great day and may peace rest on your house!

Well, a lot of people certainly think they are. And then there are some that are trying. What else can we do except 'press on toward the mark of the high calling of the Lord Jesus Christ.'?
And i wouldn't be as so bold as to name names. They would be too humble.

Discipleship is a process that lasts a life time. Many Christians also refer to it as "holiness" or "sanctification."

>Looks like its time to cue up the ole "Twilight Zone" theme again...things are getting pretty wobbly around here.
As to committed people, I don't think we have enough of them. I think them that are loonie enough to spend their entire life spouting from their favorite fairy tale should be committed.<
