he wont.
lets assume he exists. i suppose when you put it like that then his not returning would be a good thing. we could make heaven on earth...we could eventually get rid of all our vices (drugs, crime, racism) and become a damn good society...then if god does exist the majority of us would go to heaven.
i think the christians wont like this though.

Peace!
I do not agree with your prediction because of the historical fact that humanity has progressively become more violent. There is also more poverty now than a century ago despite the advances in science and technology.
Christianity is not a failure because we have not tried it yet.
God bless!

Before answering your question, let's reason.
<< John The Baptist was the "Elijah" who was to come to prepare the way for the Messiah.
"Look, I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes. He will reconcile fathers to sons and sons to fathers."
- Malachi 4:5-6
"And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
- Luke 1:17 >>
Just like prophet John The Baptist came in the spirit and power of Elias or Elijah, someone else will come in the spirit and power of prophet Jesus who will have the same function as he had. He came under the law of Moses.
The Ahmadi Muslim Movement believes that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad had come in the force and spirit of Jesus and had the same function as him. He came under the law of the Prophet Muhammad.
Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, among many books he wrote, proved best his declaration from the book : "Jesus In India" - Being an account of Jesus' escape from death on the cross and of his journey to India.
The Ahmadiyya Community was established in 1889 by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (1835-1908) in a small and remote village, Qadian, in the Punjab, India. He claimed to be the expected reformer of the latter days, the Awaited One of the world community of religions (The Mahdi and Messiah). The Community he started is an embodiment of the benevolent message of Islam -- peace, universal brotherhood, and submission to the Will of God -- in its pristine purity. Hadhrat Ahmad proclaimed Islam as the religion of man: "The religion of the people of the right path"
Since then their numbers have exceed tens of millions.
Waiting the dead ones, you can only meet them after death.

Well if that happens, I'll be dead, that will not happen in my life time and I won't care anymore.
If Jesus Christ never shows up, then I guess we will all eventually just go down to dirt and stay there.
Pretty meaningless.
I think I'll risk being with Jesus Christ.

First of all I believe in Christ. But if he does not show up (which he Will) who cares. I would rather believe and be wrong than not believe and be wrong!!!
