Long term relationship problem?

I was with my gf for 6 years when I told her things had changed and I wasnt in love with her any more. It was really hard on her and really hard for me to let go, but i did. Now 5 months later I havent been able to bring my self to go after another girl as I think I've made the biggest mistake in my life breaking up with her. She was planning on marrying me, and I was to stupid and immature to settle down. I cant just tell her I want her back because I hurt her so much, but I dont think I can go on with out her. How can I get through this. I'm 23 n she is 22, there is still plenty of time in life to find another, but I think she is the one. I just hope that If im lucky enough to get her back that I dont mess up again. So not sure whether to go after her or not?

I think you should go after her becasue it seems like to me that you just a had a problem right then but you still really loved her. And it might be a while unitl you find another girl and if this girl seems like the one then go for her dude!!!!

It seems that you must have been pretty sure you weren't in love with her anymore when you broke up with her. I wouldn't think that has necessarily changed since you've been apart. It may be more that you are lonely and/or miss the familiarity of the relationship. You ar both young and got together when you were still kids. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to try to see other people, even just to date casually. But before you even do that, you need to work on knowing yourself and what it is you are after in a relationship. You are very young and I think maybe too young to get married.
Statistically, marriages are much more successful when you wait until you are in your late twenties.
