Kill off the Insurgents, then build up the Iraqi security forces. Then leave, having known Iraq is with us and that we won.

There is no easy answer. Like Yugoslavia the US will have to go in with overwhelming force and multi billion reconstruction money and labour. This time make sure that the money doesn't wind up in Cheney's pension plan. I am told that Cheney has four pension plans and a salary as VP, and that the pension from Haliburton is larger than all the other sources of funds combined.
Or nuke the place flat and rent it as parking lot to ImPark.

We need to fade out slowly. Pulling troops out all at once is dangerous. Also, there needs to be a secure and skilled military for the new democracy before any pulling out is done. Although I love the answer "Nuke it!" I don't think that's it. LOL

The U.S. should declare victory and bring the guys & girls home now (leave a modest security force behind to protect our facilities).
