I used to always feel like I would have to explain my self to people and tell them about my past and the struggles I have been though when I got sick 21 years ago. My mom pointed out to me in private (because I said something to my brothers girlfriend about what happened to me) that this is over and done with and to let it go and she is right. I dont feel the need to mention it anymore but in case someone wants to hear my testimony in my new church what should I say? It was because of the fact that I got sick that I received Jesus into myheart.

I feel at this time I dont want to bring it up anymore and I beleive this is a sign of healing? What do you think?

When you give your testimony be brief and omit the details. If someone needs to hear more the Holy Spirit will make the words come out of your mouth that the person needs to hear.

This is such a simple answer but so hard a task.
So many times, good and bad, I have wanted to share experiences with others. The good times when something happens that is so inspiring that I want to call everyone and tell them but the question comes to mind is, "Is this a moment that is to be kept between my Lord and Me?" The same is true for hard times, I must stop before acting on my own and pray. In good and bad, we must pray and walk in faith, not attempting to do things that God may not want us to do. In other words, we have to just give it all to God and not worry about what to say, what to wear, or how to act. Walk step by step and let our Lord lead you.

Yes I think that is part of healing. Remember to, that part of healing is helping others. If you feel that your story will help another, God would want you to give your testimony.
