Drink hot water with lime and honey. Drink lots of fluids and get some rest. Any medication without alcohol would acceptable for you to take if anything.
Best of luck, feel better!!

Try Simply Saline. It is a saline mist that can help irrigate your sinuses. This can help relieve congestion, flush out bacteria and germs, and hydrate the sinuses. A hot shower can also provide some relief.
Home-made chicken stock is helpful, (cooking it humidifies the house; a small amount of fat in it can help soothe the throat)
~make sure you throw in thyme (a natural decongestant) , onion, bay leaf, salt, basil, parsley and peppercorn.
Check out this book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing, 4th Edition: A Practical A-to-Z Reference to Drug-Free Remedies Using Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs & Food Supplements" - Phyllis A. Balch. I have used the Third edition for years, it is amazingly useful.
Mullein is calming for the mucus membranes (I use a liquid tincture added to water~ if you are concerned about alcohol you can look for alcohol free formulas. (Look in a natural supplement store like Vitamin World)
Echinacea can be great, however be wary of taking it over long term as it can actually tax your immune system. Here again, I recommend that you check out that book.
Hot tea can help to soothe your sinuses. The steam humifies, and the tea itself can be good (esp. blueberry or citrus), since it can provide vitamins and antioxidants.

Alka-Seltzer Plus works wonders, and contains no alcohol. Thera-Flu is also a safe choice, and works very well. But stay away from Nyquil if you are in recovery.
