My sister in law gave me her Medela breast pump and told me I needed to buy an attachment for it. I'm not sure what she's talking about, this is my first baby and I'm feeling a little lost. Can anyone out there tell me what it is that I need to buy for this breast pump?

I would first need to know the make of the breast pump. You can also go to Medela.com they have an online advice section where you can talk to their people.

Or contact them at
Medela Customer Service representitives are available Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 8:00 pm CST and Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm at 1-800-435-8316.

You can also go to their site and click on contact us and you can ask anything you want and find a retailer near you.

Most drug stores will have the attachment or could order it for you. It's the part that attaches to your breast and the bottle screws into.

which model is it? that would help.... a used breast pump is ok to use, as long as you buy all new tubing , valves., and collection parts.. the parts that you will actually place on your breast to collect the milk.. those parts shouldnt be "passed down".
