It's really hard to tell what kind of a personality a cat is going to have from just a short visit. Some seem really affectionate, but when you get them home, they are stand offish. Others that are really scared, can turn out to be very cuddly. I think the biting is because he is scared. Kittens do that sometimes though. If you say "No" firmly each time and stop interacting with them, they usually stop. The sneezing is from upper respiratory illness. It varies in severity, but usually gets better. Sometimes they have eye drainage or intermittent sneezing after it gets better, but again, hard to predict. I haven't found it to be a major problem, especailly once they get older.

You need to look for a kitten somewhere else, feline upper respiratory infection is very difficult and costly to treat. That woman should have been more up front with you, the cat shelter in this area was quarentined for almost a year for that same problem!

If the kitten was an outside cat until it was caught then it will bite until it gets used to the fact that you arent going to hurt it. If you still want to get one make sure that you take it to the vet that same day to get shots and the vet will tell you what to do for the cold
