The world can be divided into Sacred & Secular. The Secular is "wordly" and the Sacred is "holy, God-related."

In modern society, Secular Society refers to anything that is not connected with a church, synagogue or other religious institution or belief.

In reality it's absolutely impossible. Every culture and person throughout human history has a religious element, so there could never be a purely secular society.

I think when religious people use this term they're referring to a "secular tendency" in society which is unfriendly to any religious thought, communication, or activity.

A secular society is one in which people don't believe something simply because one man in front of a church says it. People put more original thought into ideas, not just what was written in some book 2000 years ago.

As far as I have been taught, Secular Society is a neutral society instead of Christian or Catholic or Jewish or other forms of religion.
