This past summer I was at an amusement park, and these two guys cruised ahead of me and several other people in line.

The only people who said anything were two middle school-aged girls standing behind me. I thought that was kind of funny.

The two guys didn't even look back either, btw.

I know that its rude, however its best to have just kept quite. Because if you said something, you never know if the rude guys were combative and may have started a fight. There is so much rudeness in society today. But pick your battles, if it petty just let it go, you are better than that. If for example if you continued to see their rude behavior I would say something to the staff and let them handle it, would have been funny to see security escorting off the property

Definitely! It bothers me when people think they are more important than all the other people in line waiting their turn. And most of the time I have noticed it only takes one person to say something before everyone else in line will back them up and make the cutters move to the end and wait. Nobody wants to make a stink and hopes that someone else will say something so they won't look like the jerk, but it's the person who has a total disregard for other people who is the jerk in the situation. Yes, I always say something to a line cutter, there are some things that are just not OK.

I used to not have enough guts to say anything - but now - I do speak up. I actually did this in a check out line at Wal-Mart - and the lady was so freaked out about it. I said it in a nice way - but firmly. what happened was the lady had already checked out and left the line - then she came back and started telling the checker that she needed to buy some stamps, too. She didn't go back through the line - she just stepped up to the checker and told her to give her some stamps. I said - Hey you need to go to the back of the line. She kind of ignored me - so I just spoke up to the checker and said - If you check this lady out who has just cut in front of these five other people - I will report you to your store manager. THAT got everyone's attention - and everyone in line started laughing and clapping - and the offender then turned around and left.

The last time I was at Cedar Point, there were signs EVERYWHERE saying that "Line Jumping was cause for being removed from the park" or something to that effect.
I usually try tothe dirty look tactic, or make a loud comment to someone around me. They "cutters" might not move, but at least they feel uncomfortable while they wait!

It depends. If they look rather militant, I don't say anything. Some people go off a little bit too easily. But anybody who doesn't look like they might smash me gets to at least hear that somebody noticed. I don't exactly make an issue out of it, but I do call out things like, "Butter!" and "Hey look they just cut in line!" just so everybody knows.

Hell yea I would say something, I was there before they were and they have no right cutting in line. Now on the other hand I wait a few minutes to see if they were meeting someone,I'll listen to the conversation if I can,if not I'll walk up to them and see if I can see what they are talking about,if it's nothing then I say something to them about cutting line, what are they going to do kick my ***,I think not.

about a year ago i was in mexico with my fiance and my cousin and her boyfriend.....the line to get back into the states was half a mile long....as we started to move up to the front of the line we noticed two old men cut into line.....my fiance and cousin's boyfriend called them on it....and there was some yelling back and forth...turns out the guys wives were holding there place in line (how lame huh? making your wife wait for hours in line for you!!....we were sure to point that out to the two old guys as well....).....anyways....i guess sometimes you don't know if people are legitimately "cutting" into line or not, but i will definately call them on it

I stopped letting people cut in line when I turned 30...I say something every time usually in a way that lets them know they are about to get their a** kicked.

I would call their attention and tell them upfront that they have to line like the rest of us. Sometimes we have to tell those rude persons that what they're doing is wrong. Sometimes they think they can get away with it. And they probably will if we let them..
