why does it seem that, whenever you see an interracial couple involving a black male, it is nearly inevitable that the woman will be fairly unattractive? It's something I have begun to notice in the past year or so, ever since a good friend of mine who is black recently started dating a white woman. I was really quite surprised and even a bit shocked at first when he introduced me to his current girlfriend, who is white- I find him to be quite a handsome guy, and all of his previous girlfriends I had seen him with were all extremely attractive black women. I've nothing against it, and I have also dated women of all races, but I find it very interesting to see what often appears to be a great difference in terms of attractiveness between black men and the women of other races whom they choose to date.

Very sweet lady, but I was quite shocked when I met her the first time- I find him to be a handsome guy, and all of his previous girlfriends I had seen him with were all extremely attractive black women. I've nothing against it, but I find it very interesting to see what often appears to be a great difference in terms of attractiveness between black men and the women of other races whom they choose to date. In other words, I suppose what I am asking is this: Why aren't there more couples like Seal and Heidi Klum, or Ben Harper and Laura Dern? It is certainly a matter of personal taste, but I can't help but notice the the differences in appearance whenever I see black male/white female couples.

From what I understand, many black men feel that dating a white woman, no matter how attractive or unattractive she is, is a status symbol in which they "move up". Somewhat like you see a lot of professional athletes, they have lots of money and talent, and all they needed was a white woman to make it just right. Unfortunately, we do have these men who are dating just for status. Personally, if I were a white woman, I would be offended that someone would be dating me because I was white. Dating for the wrong reasons just hurts people involved.

You may not find white women as attractive - that's all. It's all a matter of preference. I've seen lots of black/white couples and a lot of them are attractive, a lot of them aren't so attractive. Where I live, there aren't a lot of black people around here - so white women here go crazy even if the black man in question is ugly as all get out.

First of all let me say that i don't mean to offend anyone so if you get offended sorry. Let me just say that this **** pisses me off so much. Everywhere you go there is a black man with a woman that is not black and if they would just open their eyes and look the hell around they would realize that all they ever needed is right here with a black woman. They say that we be havin attitudes and stuff but who gives a damn? They should love and appreciate us, after all black women did give their asses birth. All i'm sayin is that black women are some sexy *** people and those men need to wake up and reconize it. Appreciate us cuz we do tend to be sexy!!!!!!!

Has nothing to do with race- it has everything to do with personal preference.
Noting that a persons insides are more attractive than the outsides, and should never change. On the other had, you arent guaranteed your looks forever.
Maybe he likes her for how she makes him feel. Maybe they have lots of interests that are similar..
I personally dont care who is dating who though- all i care about is the man who lives with me ( who btwis black and has dated white women before, who were very attractive, but had crappy attitudes, but then again so did a lot of the black women he has dated)

Idk but it's extremely hypocritical and annoying. Black men would rather a black woman pick up any black guy that's a thug then to see her date outside of her race.

They can be attracted to each other spiritually or emotionally. There is a connection between them. I've seen the same races (not just interracial ones), one attractive and the other is not.

mayb he was tryn to see if the grass is greenr on the otha side or sum. But I have white -in-laws and my aunt is very nice and smart she isn't as pretty as my unk' s ex black girl friend but she is nicer

i am w/f dated nothing but blk men i'm attractive (toldevery day)i hate 2 say u r rite a see it many times and think damn his fine azz ni**a why is he with her and why are they almost always FAT!!!look like the haven'twashed their hairin a week i hate to talk bad about them but come on
