Take it back to the pharmacy and tell them what you told us.
DO NOT take more of the pills though UNTIL you talk to the pharmacist or your doctor.

~Yes, you do take it differently. You would have to take the Effexor more frequently that the Effexor XR. Call your doctor or pharmacist and have it fixed right away.
If you don't take any Effexor, it'll take time to get it built back up in your system.
Good luck~

Definitely talk to your pharmacist; don't take any chances with the medication. Many pharmacies are available after hours and on the weekend, so you shouldn't have to wait too long to get some information. Good luck

Definitely call your doctor. The pharmacy may not be able to give you your correct prescription without your doctor's consent if he/she made a mistake.
