My husband and I are relocating and we are Christians who love the Lord. Our desire is to serve God and get involved in a good church, What would be a good ministry to get involved with?

What do you have a passion for, since becoming Christians? I believe that God is the one who chooses a ministry. A pastor once told me that I was going to be a prayer warrior, and that did'nt.t sound very cool to me, so I said, no way. Well the next day a strange thing happened, I began to have problems praying. I would loose my concentration and my mind would wander. I couldn't pray no matter what I did. This was horrible and lasted for three months until one night I was begging God to help me pray. Then He spoke to my heart and told me that praying was my ministry. I realized that He put the desire to pray in me after taking it away to show me how important and cool it could be.
I suggest you and your husband ask the Lord what His will is and
where He wants to put you in the ministry. Then you wont have to find out the hard way.

Everyday life is a good ministry. Serious. Lots of people need help just with thier every day lives. Consider it. Watch the kids, go to the store, mow the lawn, etc..... My wife is one of these ministers. Always helping others.

A good friend of mine has gone many times to Guatemala to build houses. Let me tell you, they build a small one room house with everything necessary for even 10 people (imagine that)
for about $400 (Imagine that too) Oh! and the people that live in them think it is a palace! Keep with whatever your mission is - God's work in this world is truly "The meaning of life"
God bless you!
Any BTW, we couldn't go there, but gave money to my friend to help in building these mini-houses.
God Bless you both!

They have built small schoolhouses as well and supply them.

The youth. They are always full of life and love for God. Their needs are usually quite simple so it may help you to become more enthusiastic about the Lord again. I pray you both find your way! God bless!

We'd need more information to answer your question in a helpful manner. Do you know what your spiritual gifts are? Ask God to lead you in a certain direction rather than asking a group of strangers.

I think you and your husband ought to ask GOD what ministry you should be involved with....not asking people!

Listen to God, then obey. God qualifies the called, not the other way around.

Pray about it.
You know where your heart and passions lie, God will reveal to you where He wants you to serve.
