Well you can become emancipated, then you'll HAVE to move out, get your own apartment, be responsible for the rent and all of the bills that come with being on your own, electricity, phone, heat, water, interent, cable, doctor bills, (heaven forbid you have to go into the hospital because THAT'S a major bill like THOUSANDS of dollars). You will be responsible for paying for your own groceries, your own transportation, oh yeah and you'll also have to stay in school and get your diploma or get your GED. Major drawback though is that as a 16 year old you won't be able to be hired as permanent fulltime, employers only higher over 18 for those jobs, and you'll probably only be making minimum wage. You also can't enter into a contract to purchase a car or get a loan until you are 18 although you can sign a rental agreement/lease. But hey at least you would have privacy...until you wind up not being able to afford it and land on the streets...in homeless shelters there is NO privacy at all...not even in the bathrooms.

Well, as far as your siblings, they should have some respect for your privacy, but your parents? well, you ARE only 16, you earn privacy by proving that you CAN be trusted as a respectful teenager with it. Have you done that? Sorry dear, but there isn't much "privacy" guaranteed for a 16 y.o. Maybe you could articulate a little better in your written correspondance? I hope your verbal skills are a little more respectable. Could that be an issue? i mean, "hey du'..if ya like be talkin'; smack & all dat, at the creeib wit da folks & da sibs, may could be dey just dont feel ya nee' fo privacy & all dat/ Like yo, yo !!! check DIS out, may could be day tinks ya be actin a foo' & like could be ya got a prollem wit actin like u b grown & ****? Maa'n, u gots to be all mess up wit dey bein all up in yo' bi d ness! Do you see what i'm saying? We get what we give. Would you even consider my opinion if I talked like that? I certainly hope not. Just try it, you may be surprised at their reactions.

I can tell you are pretty angry, here is how to handle this situation:
-Tell them to back off, and ask for more personal space from them.
-About your brother and sister...get a lock on your door...they are are awesome. Or just get an electric collar...that always helped me.
-If you are not allowed to lock your door ask your parents to keep the out of your room or you will be going into their room...they won't like that, but don't think of it as black mailing.
-Get a password on your computer to keep your siblings out, make it confusing that only you will understand.
-Get your brother a girlfriend, you will never hear from him again.
I hope this helps! I have a brother who is like the same way. Annoying...and since you are 16 you will only be in the house a couple more years so just make the best of it.

I'm 18 and I still have no darn privacy! My parents and sisters are still always in my business but hey sometimes it's just going to be like that...just talk to them, tell them it bothers you. Maybe you have the understanding parents who will leave you the heck alone!

You should tell them to leave your stuff alone unless you share a bedroom. Put a lock on your door. Put a sign on the door.
