I've been going out with this guy for a couple of weeks now and we were just planning on going steady when one day, he just starts ignoring me. No more e-mails and no more talking. When I see him at school in the hallways, he always finds a way to get around me. What should I do. I try to move on but I always keep thinking about him.

**If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition (or spirit) to save you from heartache. Stop trying to change yourselves for a relationship that's not meant to be. Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy. If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then hell no, you can't "be friends." A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend. Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. Don't stay because you think "it will get better." You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better.

The only person you can control in a relationship is you. Avoid men who've got a bunch of children by a bunch of different women. He didn't marry them when he got them pregnant, Why would he treat you any differently? Always have your own set of friends separate from his. Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. If something bothers you, speak up. Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later. You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within. Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...even if he has more education or a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less. Never let a man define who you are. Never borrow someone else's man. Oh Lord! If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you. A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you. All men are NOT dogs. You should not be the one doing all the bending...compromise is a two-way street. You need time to heal between relationships...there is nothing cute about baggage... deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.

You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you...a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals...look for someone complimentary...not supplementary. Dating is fun...even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr.. Right. Make him miss you sometimes...when a man always know where you are, and your always readily available to him- he takes it for granted. Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need. Keep him in your radar but get to know others. BY THE WAY, THIS WAS WRITTEN BY A MAN**

You mentioned school, so not sure if it's high school, or college. When you're young, having feelings for someone can be a very scary thing because it can be hard to figure out how to deal with it, so sometimes people, male and female, will try to pretend it's not there, which makes it easy to deal with. If he's young, it's only because he doesn't have the emotional maturity to deal with his own feelings for you. The fact that he tried to get close to you, may mean something. Or it may not. The best solution is to not let yourself become too attached to someone unless you are absolutely sure that there is a possibility for a relationship of some kind. You're young and have school and friends to keep you busy. You can be friendly, and let him know you're still interested, but if he doesn't have the ability to be natural around you and have a normal conversation, but rather, relies on juvelile tactics and behaviour to get your attention, move on, concentrate on school, friends, and let nature take its course. It will happen with someone who has the same level of maturity and readiness that you do.

If you think you can handle the truth, approach him and just be honest, and ask him what happened? Two weeks dating someone isn't a very long time at all to feel like you need to "move on". You might want to ask yourself why you got so attached so fast. Get to know someone first as friends, and take it slow, day by day. Then there will always be the chance you can remain as friends, even if the romance fizzles out. Good luck.

High school relationships are so hard. Things change so often. It's not the end of the world although I'm sure it feels that way. I have had my share of heartbreaks, but trust me, when you find the right guy all those heartbreaks feel worth it because it makes it easier to just know he is the one for you. Nothing is as random as it seems. I'm sure he has a reason and I'm sure it has nothing to do with you. Try to move on with your life. I highly recommend that you just leave him be. The last thing you want to do is start playing games.

Time heals most wounds. Cliche I know. But from personal experience, I find that if you really like someone at the moment, you can rationalize all you want, and you will still yearn. Eventually, after some time (months or years, depending on how much you like the person), you will get over him or her. But, in the meantime, all those 'what ifs and might have beens' may well haunt you past your bedtime.

You know your own situation best, but I'd say that you could find out what is causing his change of heart by whatever way you deem best. And lastly, best of luck to you.

I am sorry for his 'change of heart' and it's got to be confusing and painful. Since he is not talking to you, you may never know the reason this happened. Is there something new that you could do to help get your mind off this? Take some sort of class after school, volunteer, plan on doing something with a friend~anything to give you something to look forward to.

It's his loss....take care ;)

Young boys' and girls' feelings change with the wind at your age. As much as it hurts your feelings, this is part of growning up and learning about relationships. You'll have to move on, sweetie.

Can you spell 'Obsessive compulsive'? Get over him. He's immature to break up that way. You deserve better. Do your grieving and move on.
