Sounds like you've got a cavity in that tooth that's causing you pain. You need to go to the dentist who will do a filling for you. In the meantime, try to chew on the other side of your mouth and use clove oil on the sore tooth when it gets bad.

If you've had a filling done on it recently, it could be that it just needs to be adjusted again. If you are hitting hard on that tooth the ligaments around it become inflamed which is what causes the temperature sensitivity. Have your dentist check your bite. If the pain/sensitivity persist after having it adjusted and your bite is not the issue, could be that you need a root canal.

Have you been to a dentist recently? Dentists (And other members of the medical profession) often reccomend methods such as tooth brushing that actually cause deterioration of the body (In dentists' case, teeth) as this allows them to have you keep returning and paying them money. I'd reccomend seeing a chiropractor, they can cure anything.

That's one symptom of either a cracked tooth, or an infection in the root canal or base.

You need to see a dentist right away. Don't neglect your teeth. You can get a bad infection if you don't take care of them.
