Thank you for that clarification. I'm not against the death penalty I was just wondering why hanging would be the choice rather than the gas chamber or an injection.

It's not------Iraq hung Saddam, not the US. States that even still hanging on the books don't use it.

It isn't usually... although there are some states that it is still an acceptable form of the Death Penalty. Like 3 or something.

Because we are not yet a completely civilized nation. We are the only so called civilized society which administers the death penalty. We don't have very good company in this regard.

Are you kidding? We don't allow self defense, we don't allow the carrying of sidearms, we don't execute the heinous. They are just sent to Death Row forever until they die of old age.
Hanging used to be common, but then so was common sense, and even personal Constitutional Rights to self defense of self, family, home, religious beliefs and property.
You can hang yourself a lot quicker than could ever be your attacker, and that's the way our Communist Liberals like it.

Like I said once before, public hanging would be very cost effective, we have many trees and rope is cheap, and the dirtbags can piss and crap all over themselves. Because I know that they did not think of anything humane for their victims.

It isn't girl, he wasn't hung here in the USA. His own people that he had committed atrocities towards, found him guilty and hung him.

Why do people talk about unhumane treatment to MURDERERS when they were totally INHUMAN TO their victims???????????????
I say, hanging is too good. I say we do something more GRAPHIC to deter more people from becomming cold blooded murderers. That is one purpose of government.....to deter crime!!!
