The dvla have to give me a liver enzyme test to prove my abstinence from alcohol. I have been abstinent for 14 months. Unfortunately I have been taking valium. Will the valium show up in the alcohol test. Stan

Stan, they are looking high concentrations of acetylaldahase. The liver excretes a different enzyme for Valium.

If they are checking you for one drug, they will due the whole screen. They are taking blood.

possibly, are you on vallium by perscription or are you taking it for fun? you had better stop now if you arent prescribed it.
