We lost our budgie on December 10th in Melbourne, Australia. He's mainly white, with a blue belly, and has some grey areas as well, and is hand-tamed. We all miss him so much :(

i hate to say it but i very much doubt that your budgie is still in the land of the living..... there are many birds that will attack, kill and may evn eat your budgie and others that have escaped. I no from experience i living in brisbane and a few of ym budgies over the years have exscaped from ym avairy and have not made it 20m without beign attacked by at least 1 other bird. Although you mentioned that your budgie was very well tamed so someone may have got him and put him in there own cage..good luck

I would try to place some seed outside and then one of his favorite toys. We have trained our peach faced love bird to come to a whistle just in case he ever does get outside. He is also attrached to other various sounds. Is there a sound your bird can't resist? I would go out and repeat this sound as often as you can. I lost one of my peach faced love birds last November so it has been more than a year. Jazzy got outside and flew around the house for about 5 hours then took off with a woodpecker. We live in Maine USA so we know he didn't last the night as it got below freezing. It feels bad even to this day so hopefully you will find your little bird. Best of luck!

Aww, I'm sorry you lost your little friend. Here in Phoenix, AZ, we have a population of wild Budgies, which no doubt started out as escapees. They can survive in the wild.

Put some seed outside and see if he returns to eat.
