When I was about 2 or 3, I lost my first tooth by accadent. I had fallen on some ice and i had my hands in my pockets, so i wasn't able to catch myself. But anyways, It didn't come in until all of my other adult teeth came in, why did it do that? I'm just curious.

As the permanent tooth presses against the root of the baby tooth, it causes it to dissolve. In this way the baby tooth is sort of the "pilot hole" for the permanent tooth. If you had lost your baby tooth when you were about 5, the permanent tooth would have come in on schedule or even a bit early. Since you lost it at such an early age, the bone over that tooth had a chance to heal completely and then, lacking that pilot hole, it was a lot harder for the permanent tooth to make its way through the bone.

Your permanent teeth come in at the age they were meant to come in...if you lose a baby tooth early, that in no way causes the permanent tooth to mature and come in faster. What happened to is is not uncommon in young children. many lose a tooth or more in a fall and have an empty space for several years
