My daughter who is 20 months has had severly dry skin on both of her legs to the point where she can not stop itching them. The ONLY thing that I have found that not only makes them stop itching but it has actually started to make them feel smoother. The product is aquaphor. They sell it pretty much everywhere. I know it has helped my daughter alot so hopefully it will help you. Good luck!

For your face, no baby oil, but everywhere else, it is great. Apply as often as you want and within 3 minutes after shower or bath, then again once it soaks in. Vaseline is great for very dry areas. For your face, get an ointment (most moisturizing), a cream (strong mositurizing) or a lotion that says it is non-pore clogging and free and sensitive so you don't clog up your pores. Carave is very nice and non-irritating. There are all kinds of products out there for very, very dry skin on your body. Most have a vaseline base. You can pay a lot or not -- its up to you. If it gets worse, see a dermatologist. Baby oil is made from mineral oil. Mineral Oil is edible and used to help people go to the bathroom. It is safe and non-toxix. Just get the hypo-allergenic baby oil (no perfumes or dyes) and you'll be just fine.

yeah, I think it is a petrol product. A really great alternative that is so moisturizing is almond or Jojoba oil. You can buy them in health food stores already scented or non scented. Some of them have a blend of oils that are heavenly. If youre adventurous you can go to the essential oil section and pick out your own scent to add to the almond oil. Be wary though, some essential oils are not good for the skin? Just do your research first. Lavender is excellent for the skin.

I am not an expert but I would not use Baby Oil on my face. I think it would clog your pours. You need a face cleanser preferably with moisturizer. A toner and then a face cream. Face cream is usually light. It seems like it wouldn't work being that It is so light but it really does moisturize your skin.
Mary Kay, and Avon are two good companies to purchase these items from but if you'd rather get these from a store. Department store wise I'd choose Lancome. There are also alternatives from regular retail stores or Kiss My Face at any Nutrition store or GNC

It's far from natural. If you like putting petroleum products on your skin and absorbed into your body then go for it.
Fragrance is synthetic also.
I would never put baby oil on my babies, either.
there are better alternatives out there. Research natural moisturizers.

I have the same problem and I have not had problems with baby oil, though I get the one with the vitamin E in it. BEST time to appy it is right after you shower.
