Hi, I was looking for some input.... which would you recommend hair rollers(what type) or curling irons for the best look? I have naturally long, thick, straight hair.

I worked at a robert cromeans salon in vegas so my answer is product... hot rollers work great w/ paul micthell soft spray but you have to REALLY spray your hair then roll it and wait @ 15 min. (put on makeup) then drop and use gloss drops to seperate You can even put your hair in a pony tail roll it and drop it for that pantene hair look. with hot rollers and the right product you can brush your hair and curl will go no where. a curling iorn works for thoese styles you wont be brushing out like loopy iorn sets use a a hard hold spray like paul mitchelles super clean or wax works spray ALOT !!PRODUCT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET ANY HOLD! The direction you roll the hair and the tool your using, type of hair, and the length and, heat applied makes a huge difference your question is very muti layered your best best bet is to arrange a free consultation from a hair dresser or even a trail up do. some times in vegas people would just come in for a shampoo blow dry and talk to a professional we Really know what we are talking about. any way it just depends on the look you are going for.BEST OF LUCK!!! HOT ROLLERS CONAIR FROM WALMART VELVET NORMAL CHEAP HOTROLLERS. FROM SALLY BEAUTY SUPPLY GOLD N HOT OR HOT TOOLS ARE YOUR BEST BET FOR IORNS

I am a huge fan of rollers. The rollers seem to hold better and the curl will last longer. You need to use gel or mouse on your hair when it is wet, it will also help to hold the hair better. If you have thich hair gel will be better for you.

I really like the smooth rollers because the come out very easy, the ones that have the grippies seem to tangle and frizz the hair when you remove them.

You can buy the smooth ones at Sallys for like 12, you will also need to buy the clips to hold them in place which they also carry for about $2.

I've been doing hair 9 yrs. and would much rather use rollers over a curling iron any day. Plus the curling iron is more damaging because of the heat.

Good Luck,
Stylist of 9 yrs.

Conair "Instant Heat Hairsetter" hot rollers is really good. It heats up fast, and the rollers come in lots of sizes.

I would recommend putting small sections of your hair in the rollers and letting it sit for like 8-10 minutes. Then take it down, and if any strands ended up not curled, use a curling iron to fix those little pieces. Hot rollers are much faster than trying to curl all of your hair with just a curling iron.

Both work good but I prefer hair rollers because they seem to last longer in my hair than curling irons. Depends on what type of curls you want to know they type and size. For example if I were to get a roller wrap I would use those Big ones(LOL)

Curling iron stays in longer and is easier to use but also causes more damage. Hair rollers can give you like a really natural look but from my experience only last about 10 minutes. I would go with curling iron.

Hair rollers, because heated hair appliances causes the hair to dry out, become brittle and then break off.

You should use the plastic, magnetic, snap on rollers with the smooth barrel. Use with a setting lotion and you will have, bouncy, shiny, curls that will last all day. I roll up my hair every night and wear at least 40 large rollers.

rollers is always the best choice. it makes the curls look natural and healthy and it also gives shine to the hair. in the other hand curling iron damages your hair.

any hair roller that isn't hot is better for your hair and you would use them over night
BUT
For Quickness
use heated hair rollers
OR
use a curling iron the type of your choice

MY CHOICE WOULD BE ROLLERS THOUGH-MORE NATURAL AND WAY BETTER FOR YOUR HAIR

it depends if you have all the time in the world to put in hair rollers or if your always on the go and need a curling iron...i prefer curling irons because its hot and gets it done WAAAAAY faster*but curling irons look way better in the end(as long as you use hair spray)*

i would probably have to say rollers...they make your hair more BOUNCY..on the other hand...with curlers....they take a long time and make your hands hurt...stick with the rollers. HOPE THAT HELP!! :D
