Sounds to me like you may have kidney stone. The pain is refered sometimes around to the front of the body as well. The stone scrapes it's way along the ureter and this is what causes the intense pain. The ureter is really a tube made from smooth muscle. It doesn't like the rough edges on the stone. You will continue to have this pain until the stone reaches the bladder where it becomes painless. One comforting thought, it doesn't hurt to pee the stone out, as your urethra doesn't have nerve endings in it to transfer the pain. If the stone cannot be passed, you WILL have to see a MD. It may too large and have to be removed or crushed while sitting in a tub of warm water with Ultra sonic waves so you can pass the sand. The stone should be analyzed to see what it is made of. This will help you avoid eating something in your diet that may be causing them, as this is a mostly a metabolic disorder.

How long ago did this pain start? It sounds to me like you might be dehydrated. But I agree with the other answer. If you dont knwo and it does not feel right go to the doctor. I am a cna and I can not properly diagnose someone whom I have not seen.

Go to the doctor ... this is a trained medical professional who can diagnose your problem far more correctly than I could.

You should see a Dr. What can we do to help you? You need Xrays.
