I have been friends with this guy for several months and two weeks ago he asked me out. I said yes and I really think I like him. He's 14 and I;m 16...what do you think of that? No big deal? huge deal? also we went to the movies last night and we held hands...we've been going out for 8 days...was that too soon?

nah . i think its fine . i mean i know pple were its like the guy is a freshmen and the gurls the senior. so its not tht wierd. as long as your both happy and youre not hurting any1 yur fine.

No big deal at all! People make a big deal out of that in high school sometimes, but when you think about it, the vast majority of married couples are at least a few years apart and no one makes a big deal of THAT. As long as you're both mature enough, age doesn't matter.
And the hand holding is absolutely fine, especially if you've been going out for over a week! It's not like you're eloping or something, haha. Sounds like you guys are taking it nice and slow. Best wishes!

14-16, isn't bad at all. It kind of seems like a big diff in high school, but it's not really. My boyfriend and I are - hes 17 and im 15. So same difference.
As long as hes not going to be pressuring you into sex, or for that matter, anything you don't want to do. Its alright.

I met my husband, now 33, when he was 15. I was 16. I am 1 yr and 1 month older. Once he grew up - it was all good. Careful though, it took him 10 years to grow up, and I shed alot of tears. If you two have a connection - then go with your heart. But you are both young, just try not to get in too deep. My dtr is almost 13 - i tell her to date after high school. That way you can skip most of the drama! (But I'm sure I won't get that lucky)

Girl what the hell are you doin with a 14 year old that is huge but not in the nice way. You are moving to fast i will on date a guy my age and 2 years older than me not younger. you should find a boy your age they do have alot of very hot 16 year olds thats all am says.

The age difference shouldn't matter at all, as long as the two of you like each other. This is also not too soon at all. The two of you have feelings for each other and there's nothing wrong with that. You should just have a good time, it's nice to be with somebody that you enjoy being with!

Eh... I wouldn't. I think age will catch up soon. Girls are already several years more mature than boys. If he's intelligent, that's one thing, but if he's not, he probably isn't worth it. Especially if he's shorter. If he's shorter, just forget it, drop him, it's doomed. Besides, I'm sure you can do better than a 14 year old, even if you don't think you can. Even if you do stick with him, you can't expect it to last very long. Not after you're out of highschool, obviously.

It doesn't matter how old you are in this case. So what you're a whole 2 years older. So you held hands after going out for 8 days. Just respect yourself and don't rush into something you're not ready for.

That's not too young. It's average! Also, my boyfriend were going out for only about a week and we held hands at our first date (which was a movie). It sounds good to me, good luck with him!!!
