I have far too many. Every time I go to the dentist, something I DON'T LIKE AT ALL Happens! Grrrrrrrr... Do you have any regrets?

Mine, for example: I was young - The dentist kept on persuading me that SHE takes out my tooth. I did not want. Now, there's a tooth pushed INTO my mouth and it bothers me because it gets in the way of my tongue........The next time, I had some cavities. Some shifty hands injects 2x into my inner cheeks on both sides. Probably 4 inches of needle. Years later, I feel the SCARRING of the needles!!! Now, it hurts like hell and whenever I open and close my mouth. Do I regret going to the dentist? Heck ya, but I regret NOT KNOWING what I was in for. But what more, I wish I could've taken care of myself more. Too late.

I regret waiting years to make an appointment, and then I regret worrying so much about procedures when they really weren't that bad. I worried for nothing.

I only regret not asking for white fillings every time. I hate the old metal ones, and while some of my metal ones have cracked or crumbled and had to be replaced, none of my white ones have, despite them supposedly not being as strong.

As for the needle issue.....with the exception of when I had a wisdom tooth removed, and when I had a root canal, I've been refusing freezing since I was ten. When I get a filling, I only take laughing gas. It takes the edge off. I feel some pain, but it's gone right away, whereas the needles bothered me for days.

Going to dentist every 6 months only to keep finding more cavities, My Mom would take me faithfully to each visit. She held my hand as I got the injecction. One day the dentist told her to wait in his waiting room. She did. He came in and before he gave me the injectionhe said peering down at me with his big black bushy eyebrows and tortoshelle eyeglassses "If you give me a hard time, I will take my belt off and give it to you". Nice to say to a child That was the last time I saw him. At a previous visit he suggested braces for my bottom teeth. My mom refused, all those bottom teeth came is straight. He was a greedy dentist and ignorant.

When I was about 10, I was taken to a "dentist" to have a cavity filled. He shot me with Novocain, went into the next room where he fiddle-farted around for about 2 hours. The Novocain kicked in and wore off while he was in the next room. He came back in and drilled on my un-numbed mouth, and wouldn't listen to me or stop or numb me up again when I kept telling him it hurt, and was crying. A real a@@hole.

Not going to a dentist who knew what the hell he was doing. Had a cavity in a wisdom tooth. Dentist gave me the novicane to numb it - it never did (still 4 shots later) felt every damn thing. He refused to give me general anestia to knock me out. Complete f*cking moron he was.

I never have regrets about going to the denist because my teeth are generally healthy. I have regrets about not flossing because they always make me feel guilty about it...because they KNOW that I don't.
