listen to your parents - they probably have your best interests at heart. How old are you? How well do you REALLY know your partner? Is this the person you want to raise a family with? Are they dependable? Educated (better job - better life)

ok with all these engaged questions im going on the fact that u are 17 and either are engaged or want to b engaged but ur parents want u 2 wait... so my thought on this is... being 17 myself... if u love him and really do want to marry him... y cant u wait until u are 18? i think that if u wait until u r 18 u are still getting what u want and u are keeping the peace with ur parents which is always a bonus =) hope that helps =) God bless =)

Listen to them. They have experience. have a conversation with them about it. Becoming engaged is a big decision. Make it carefully.
