is there any websites that you can find out what origin your last name is from?

That doesn't always help you trace your own origins, though. To take an extreme example, you could be 15/16ths Chinese or Cherokee or Irish and have a German surname.

You could be German, Hungarian or French and have an English last name, too; lots of immigrants changed theirs so people could spell it.

If you are of Irish, German, English, French, Italian, or Jewish descent, (seeing that you are blonde, I would assume this to be correct) you can find out the origins of your last name at the following websites:

I don't but i wonder about some last names because they sound like misspell words.

try typing in geneology and going to the one that says Family names geneology book
